Have you heard of CBT?

11ª Assembleia Anual da Rede Cearense de Turismo Comunitário (TUCUM) 2017, Prainha do Canto Verde, Beberibe, Ceará (Moraes, 2019)

CBT has been referred to as Community Based Tourism or Community Tourism as a subject of interest to several debates, researches and collective experiences in Brazil and around the world. Accounting for more than a decade devoted to research and extension programs on CTB, this virtual site was created in 2004, under the scope of the line of research “Community Based Tourism: Historical, Conceptual, Sociopolitical, Cultural and Environmental Perspectives” (UFJF/UFRRJ) of NEPET – Nucleus of Study and Research on Tourism (UFRRJ) and, currently, as an information and communication tool of the “CBT-NETWORK: Laboratory of Community Based Tourism, Sustainability and Networks” (UFJF/UFRRJ). The aim is to share and promote projects of research and extension, events, initiatives as well as documents and reference lists and bibliography on the theme and its various approaches and correlations. If you are interested in this theme and want to know more about it, you are welcome to join us in this journey.
